Prof. Jinhui Li, the Executive Director of BCRC China/SCRCAP Received the Tripartite Environment Ministers Meeting Environmental Award in 2016
During the 18th Tripartite Environment Ministers Meeting among China, Japan and the Republic of Korea, Prof. Jinhui Li, the executive director of BCRC China/SCRCAP, as Chinese winner received the Tripartite Environment Ministers Meeting (TEMM) Environmental Award in 2016. China's Minister of Environmental Protection Jining Chen awarded the certificate to Prof. Jinhui Li for appreciation and recognition of his distinguished contribution to tripartite environmental cooperation among China, Japan and Korea. During the meeting, Prof. Jinhui Li delivered an acceptance speech, affirmed that TEMM as one concrete action of solving environmental problems promoted the development of public and private partnership, pointed out that transboundary movements of e-waste was still a common challenge in Northeast Asia countries, stressed that clear environmental responsibilities among countries were the basis for promoting cleaner production, developing recycling economy and achieving the healthy development of environmental protection in countries, and expressed the hope that TEMM could further promote responsibility mechanism to reach a common understanding. Since 2011, BCRC China/SCRCAP has been devoting to technical support in the area of e-waste management under TEMM.

The 18th Tripartite Environment Ministers Meeting among China, Japan and the Republic of Korea was held in Shizuoka, Japan on April 27. China's Minister of Environmental Protection Jining Chen, Japanese Environment Minister Tamayo Marukawa, and Environment Minister of the Republic of Korea Yoon Seong-kyu attended the meeting and exchanged views of the latest environmental policy of the three countries, global and regional hotspot environment issues, and the implementation of the joint plan. Since its launch in 1999, TEMM as the highest level environmental cooperation platform to jointly respond to the environmental challenge, has been held in rotation among the three countries every year. In recognition of the contributions and achievements of experts, scholars and managers in tripartite environment cooperation, TEMM set up the TEMM Environmental Award awarded by tripartite environment ministers, and each country would have one person to receive the award in every year.
